Know the recipe you need, but not where to look? This Permafrost map reconstructs the area around recipe notes in 3D from installed game resources. Search for an item, select its location, and rotate the scene around the yellow note marker.

The pictures in this guide show how the viewer works. Open the map itself to rotate, zoom, search for recipes, and inspect individual locations.

The current dataset covers 49 mapped sites. These are simplified resource reconstructions, not gameplay screenshots or a complete survey of the current patch. The source builds and verification limits are listed below.

1. Search for the recipe you need

Enter an item name in Recipe search. Both the result list and map pins narrow to matching entries. For example, search for Copper Axe, then choose the result to open its location.

English and Korean names are searchable. If an in-game label differs from the dataset, try its English name. The quick links below include Copper Pickaxe and Weapon Bench as well as the other copper tools.

Searching for Copper Axe narrows the map to its matching location. Selecting the result opens the location details.

2. Rotate the scene around the note

Select a result or map pin, then choose View location · Orbit / zoom in the location preview. Use the yellow marker as a reference while comparing nearby objects and structures.

Drag to rotate. Use the wheel or the + and − controls to zoom. Shift-drag or right-button drag pans the scene. The note-centering and frame-all controls help recover your view if you lose your bearings.

The small overhead map rotates with the viewing direction. Compare it with the main map when the 3D view becomes disorienting. Close the viewer with × or Esc.

These names and links help you find a recipe note. They do not establish a recommended acquisition order, a crafting unlock requirement, or a safe route through the game.

4. One recipe can have more than one location

The source data includes recipes such as .45ACP Ammo with multiple placements. It also includes sites with several recipes, such as the Permafrost clothing set. A map pin does not always represent a single recipe.

Found checkboxes organize this map only. They do not change game saves or in-game collection state. Other placements of the same recipe are hidden together; a multi-recipe site remains visible until all its recipes are checked. Progress is stored in the current browser.

If the note still is not there

This guide does not verify entrances, floors, safe approach routes, or every object in the game. The reconstruction simplifies and omits geometry. Treat the marker and nearby shapes as a relative-position reference, not proof of a walkable route or a particular floor.

Current-patch spawning, prerequisite quests and respawn times have not been verified here. Check your game version, the recipe name, and any alternative placements before assuming that a missing note is a bug.

If your browser cannot display the 3D view, use the location preview. The viewer has been checked in a desktop browser. That does not establish compatibility with every phone or mobile GPU.

Source builds and corrections

The dataset was prepared from build 25839346 and re-compared against build 25854170. It has not been re-verified against the current installed build or through an in-game visit to every location. Early Access updates and gameplay conditions may produce differences.

When describing a location mismatch, keep the English recipe name, the selected map item, and the game build together. That makes different placements and versions easier to distinguish.
